The primary focus of this group and its donors is to get the community together to fundraise for additional space in a new PreK-12 School and the possible development of a Community Center.

- Yes, council attended the Budget announcement on March 23, 2023. Approval was given and $1,300,000 was forwarded to the SE School Division(SECPSD) to begin Phase 1 for ‘Pre-Design’.

- The first priority is to fundraise for additional space requirements in a new PreK-12 School and daycare. This amount has not been decided as of yet.
- If the Town of Carlyle decides on a replacement plan for aging facilities, additional fundraising will continue for the long term.

Summary:
- 2020 the Town of Carlyle identified the need to assess current/new facilities;
- 2021 the Town of Carlyle discussed the need for a separate committee;
- 2021 Town Council approved an Architect to design a concept for a community complex;
- 2022 the Carlyle Community Complex Foundation(CCCF) was incorporated;
- Aug 4, 2022; Town Council approved the CCCF to begin fundraising for this concept;
- May 17, 2023 The Town of Carlyle procured Colliers Project Leaders to complete a feasibility study for possible additional phases of development of community service, recreation and culture facilities along side a new school build by the Ministry.
- Nov 2023; Feasibility report concluded to begin planning for a new event center and to begin planning now for a new sports arena (10-15 years), on the same parcel as the new school.

- No. Colliers was instructed by the Town of Carlyle to not review location as it was chosen in 2015. No location study has been conducted.

- Currently set at September 2027, timeline is monitored and updated accordingly.

- Town of Carlyle Council approves all new development areas.
- The School Division does not play a major role in lands or decide on school location.

- Yes, an attached 51 seat childcare has been approved.

- Currently 5 buses operate for both Carlyle schools(PreK-12)

- Current enrollment is 518. New build capacity is still being decided.

- Some ideas from the planning committee include; expanded gymnasium, PAA, Home Ec Lab, Playground equipment

- Council held a recreation and culture public information session on March 7th & 10th, 2024 which only 1% of our population attended.
- This session did not include discussion regarding the new school.
